eldiablito_sf: (bitch please)
In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.

This is actually surprisingly easier than I thought it would be.  At first, I thought, well, there aren't that many things that disturb me.  But then I thought back to how I first met Zoi and I was like, "What?  An entire novel full of nothing but KIEFERS???  Bitches be CRAZY!"  But then I actually read Behind the Mirror and it blew my mind and now I tell everyone to read it.  DO IT NOW.  (I suppose I should warn for Kiefers having lots of sex with Kiefers and also vampirism... and non-con... and... really it's [livejournal.com profile] zoi_no_miko.  I rest my case.)

I'll be honest, I really don't give a crap about "Inception."  But the team of RioQuo always manage to produce quality product, so even though I have ADD (and it was long) and apathy, I really liked The Opposite of Talking!  (The sequel too!)

So... BREATH PLAY.  I am not into breath play, or any kind of asphyxiation (especially auto-erotic).  Public Service Announcement:  ALWAYS HAVE A BUDDY SYSTEM!  But, dang, this piece of porn based on "The Borgias" featuring Cesare and Micheletto is super hot:  Now Does Our World Descend by floatxxaway.

For today's challenge, we're supposed to share something non-fannish that we feel passionately about.  So here it is.

I am a member of the World Shorinji Kempo Organization.

Even though I'm currently unable to physically get to practice, I still feel passionately about this, and I'm proud of being a black belt in this martial art.  The first 3 (of 6) tenants are:  unity of love and strength; unity of hard and soft; and unity of body and mind.  Perhaps one day I will master this!
eldiablito_sf: (bewbs)
Today we were supposed to comment or interact with a new person we've never reached out and touched before (metaphorically, of course).  And anyone who writes a Three Musketeers (2011)/Good Omens crossover is worth a little e-poke!
eldiablito_sf: (Default)
Day 2's challenge is to rec three works in the fandom that are by ANOTHER, which is obviously a lot easier than praising myself, although don't get me wrong:  I'm fabulous.  Here goes:

1.  The Book of Thoth by [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair and [livejournal.com profile] quoshara:  This is the one that started it all for me, that is, by wringing out my very first (Anonymous) LJ comment of all time.  BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME.  I never used to like AU, I did not think you could DO quality musketeer AU, but they proved me wrong in so many ways!  Also, the artwork!  SO COOL OMG, I still squeeeee like a little girl when I think about how great that universe is.  (The prequel rocks my world too!)

2.  The Knock by Xris:  This was apparently a [livejournal.com profile] yuletide fic before I even knew what the heck yuletide was.  But I was lurking like a pro on [livejournal.com profile] andoneforall so I found it magically.  This is still one of my favorite fics in the fandom.  It takes place in my beloved "between" period (i.e. between The Three Musketeers and Twenty Years After), and features a MAGNIFICENT speech form Porthos.

3.  There once was a person who called themselves "Blue Fenix" but now I cannot find their fics ANYWHERE.  The reason this is noteworthy is that this was some of the first musketeer slash I ever Googled!  My mind:  was blown.  Even though most of it was based on the inferior "The Man in the Iron Mask" film, the writing was excellent!  Blue Fenix:  you were AWESOME.

4.  But since I had no link for 3, I will have to do a bonus 4.  Here are [livejournal.com profile] quoshara and [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair again with canon amazingness featuring Rioja, a very brooding Athos, and a very patient Aramis.  I give you:  Sue For Grace.

Here I am, participating in the Fandom Snowflake Challenge because [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair is a terrible influence.
Since The Three Musketeers is my One True Fandom, these will all be about that.

The prompt for Day 1 is to do the self-recs, which is, as [livejournal.com profile] zoi_no_miko put it, "Like making me pick my favorite child!" or in this case, three (or more) of my favorite children.  Children, I love you all, you are all equal, but some of you are more equal than others!

1.  "Salve Regina" - this was like crossing the Rubicon!  It had purple poetry, lavender rage, and hot sex on a prie-dieu with involuntary praying.  I mean, c'mon, I rocked it!  *cackles*

2.  "Noisy-Le-Sec" - this one allowed me to play in the "between" space in the musketeer chronology, which I found really liberating!  It was also very satisfying to imagine what such a reunion could potentially be like, how it might go, and who might get punched in the face hardest.  I also worked with [livejournal.com profile] watercrescent on this, in a dramaturgical sense, and that was a great experience too!

3.  "Honey and Oakwood" - this is one of the two cross-overs with "True Blood" featuring Erik the Sexy Vampire.  I think this one really shows off my incredibly bizarre and crack-tastic side.  Also it gave Aramis the opportunity to go up against a vampire, and what former/future priest doesn't want to do THAT?

4.  BONUS - "The Plural of Us" which I co-authored with [livejournal.com profile] zoi_no_miko.  We are brilliantly sick.  That is all.
eldiablito_sf: (oh my)
Now that[livejournal.com profile] yuletide is over and all has been revealed, I'm doing a summary of the things I wrote and the things I received, as is tradition (tradition being defined as "n = 2").

First, I'd like to thank my authors who took the time to elevate my Yule from "Meh" to "Oh MY!"

[livejournal.com profile] arithanas, girl, I KNEW THAT WAS YOU!  For some Athos and Aramis killing time in the only way imaginable: On The Edge.  I am also tickled by the coincidence that we wrote the same time period (20YA).

My main gift fic Turn Back, O Man by prodigy aka [livejournal.com profile] evilprodigy, has garnered and deserves a lot of positive attention because O Man it's awesome!  So if you haven't had the deep pleasure, please do!  As for the author, I have taken it upon myself to stalk her because this is how I show love.  Actually, the traditional way of showing love in my culture would be to show up at her house, kick down the door, knock her over the head with my balaika, throw her into my troika, and gallop away to drink vodka in my Terem.  I had to restrain myself because I think this is illegal now.

So what the hell have I done for humanity this Yule?  Let's see.

1.  For my main fic, I wrote epistolary porn for [livejournal.com profile] jerico_cacaw.  17th Century Booty Call is indeed the official title.  And yes, it is what you think it is.

2.  I'm sure it would shock everyone to know that The Plural of Us (i.e. the story in which Aramis goes back in time to have sex with himself) was written by yours truly and [livejournal.com profile] zoi_no_miko.  It's based on the 2011 movie though, so, basically:  ANYTHING GOES!

3.  And because I love Zoi, I also wrote her some "Dark City" PWP called A Chance Encounter.

4.  For Madness! I could not help myself and had to write something for "The Room" because IT WAS TEARING ME APART, LISA!  So here is The Room:  Post-Mortem.  Interestingly, this got the most hits.  People do not read Dumas.  But they do watch "The Room."  Tommy Wiseau is a major freak.

5.  Also, because it is mushroom season right now, I had to also write Fly Agaric for [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair.  What would the world be without Athos and Aramis being totally weird and snarky and generally insane?

Dear humanity:  you're welcome.  Happy New Year!
eldiablito_sf: (Good El)

First of all, you look beautiful and thanks for being my magical Yuletide friend!  This year I decided to do a Dear Yuletide Author letter because, while my own Muse lies dormant, I have many demands er... needs....um....desires.... ideas!  Yes, ideas that I'd like for other people to bring to fruition.  So thank you in advance, you're the best!

Psst... over here )

Originally written for[livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide!

Title:  Fly Agaric
Rating:  PG
Pairing:  A/A is implicitly implied, as always
Plot:  What on earth is d'Artagnan's potion actually made out of?  Athos and Aramis would like to know.

Could it be... poison? )

Title:  17th Century Booty Call
Rating:  NC-17
Pairings:  Athos/Aramis; Aramis/duchess de Longueville
Warnings:  epistolary fic, religious references, graphic descriptions of sexual activity, bondage, etc, good times.
Plot:  Aramis is a very busy man at the onset of la Fronde.  He has a Very Important Mistress to please, the escape of the duc de Beaufort to plot, and the soul of Athos to save from the tar pits of Hell, and all this while writing sermons for others.
Notes:  This narrative takes place immediately prior to the beginning of Vingt ans apres (Twenty Years After).  As a reference for the dates, I have used the escape of the duc de Beaufort from the chateau at Vincennes (May 31, 1648), but I cannot account for any instances of “Dumas time.”  Written for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide for [livejournal.com profile] jerico_cacaw!

By the way, I want you in my pants.... )

My Muse took pity on me in my sorry virus-riddled state and stopped by for tea and quality boy time!  This is extreme time displacement too... I've gone back in time.... to BEFORE SEX.  Oy.

Title:  Leave It To Chance
Rating:  PG(ish)
Pairing:  NONE.  OMG.  This is pre-slash.  Though some of them might be thinking about it....  ;)
Plot:  Aramis isn't even "Aramis" yet and he's having a life crisis!  Athos and Porthos are wasted and are being no help.  A discussion about names, flowers, and forks in the road ensues.
Dedication:  This is for [livejournal.com profile] watercrescent because friends are important, and non-imaginary friends are even more important!  (Sorry, about the whole lack sex thing in this fic!)

"How did I end up on the floor?" )

eldiablito_sf: (Invisible Sammich)
My awesome victory banner from [livejournal.com profile] andoneforall  because, one way or another, Athos really DOES always win (the 1st Caption This Contest).

eldiablito_sf: (diablo)
Title:  In Another Time
Rating:  PG-13 (for off-screen sexing and questionable dialogue)
Size:  ~4.5K
Disclaimer:  The author in no way advocates having children.  But if you choose to do so, then at least do not abuse them.
The Happenings:  It is 1634 and all roads lead back to Roche-L'Abeille.  Aramis gets a letter which threatens to turn everyone's life upside down.  Athos develops the worst mental illness he had encountered yet:  fatherhood.  All in all, I sort of Dumased myself into a corner and it took 12 pages for me to get out of it.  Enjoy?

All roads lead to Roche-L'Abeille )
eldiablito_sf: (diablo)
Title:  The Last Farewell
Rating:  G
Length:  A Tiny!
Notes:  The notes will be longer than the fic.  There is no reason for this.  Certainly no reason other than what [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair  and I were discussing earlier today and my own shitty mood.  I was kind of angry that Dumas left me all of two seconds of "space" which I could possibly fill with this shmoop and angst, but I had my revenge by stealing the chapter title from him!  So, basically, now Aramis is going to fuck off to Belle Isle with soon-to-be-dead Porthos and Athos will stay home and die of Raoul-related grief.  But first, this.

I need head therapy )

And if that wasn't depressing ENOUGH, you can go read Rio's revenge fic "Never Time"
eldiablito_sf: (diablo)
Ah yes, well, one drunken New Year's Eve, I promised [livejournal.com profile] speak_me_fair  a fic.  It was supposed to have h/c, in which the "h" was Athos and the "c" was Aramis.  I fully intended on delivering this, but instead, this is what came out.  I hope you still like it, Rio!

Title:  Credidi In Te
Rating:  Eh... R?
Size:  4K, ooh baby
Paring:  You'll never guess.  Okay, it's Athos/Aramis
Summary:  Taking place some time after "Tempus Fugit," Athos and Aramis have their idyllic existence disturbed by a sudden need for Athos to return to La Fere.
Warnings:  It is very difficult at times to know who's "h" and who's "c".  But there will be blasphemy and sex, so there!

Damaged, crazy-ass idiots.... this way! )
